I’ve had the opportunity to edit videos from community events that the Philadelphia Phillies have hosted and offered to individuals in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
NBCSP Broadcast
I had the opportunity to collaborate with David Cattai, Video Production Manager at the Philadelphia Phillies, on a recap video from the annual Phillies Ballgirl Dream Camp. I filmed the event and David then clipped and color graded the chosen footage. This footage was then sent to NBCSP as well as several news stations and was shown on the NBCSP Phillies broadcast!
Play for Her
The "Play for Her" event is an annual Wiffle ball tournament hosted by the Phillies Ballgirls at FDR Park. All proceeds support the Phillies Urban Youth Academy (UYA) softball teams and educational programs to help the next generation of female athletes.
AUSL Meet and Greet
The Phillies invited Sydney Sherrill from AUSL to batting practice, to speak at a meet and greet for young women, and throw out a first pitch on May 5th.
Girls in Baseball Clinic
The Phillies offer a variety of clinics designed to help girls develop essential baseball skills, including hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching. Beyond learning the fundamentals of the game, participants gain confidence and encouragement through mentorship and support from female athletes who serve as role models.
UYA Signing Night
The Phillies Urban Youth Academy (UYA) holds a National Letter of Intent Signing Night to recognize and honor local high school seniors who have committed to play college baseball and softball.
Ball Kids of the Month
The Phillies and their Ball Girls select a child battling a rare disease or other health challenges as their “Ball Kid of the Month”. The chosen child has the opportunity to go on a VIP stadium tour, access to be on the field pre game, and tickets to the game.
